At-Home Spa

I think the stress of the holidays is bringing Jacob down. He’s been spending a lot of time in the bath lately.

The good news is, he isn’t just holed up in the bathroom; he’s definitely willing to get out and go places.

Hopefully destressing now means he’ll be able to really appreciate Christmas when it comes. He can let all his cares drift away, and just be happy that he’s surrounded by family, friends, and good news.

In the meantime, if you’re stressed out over the holidays (or even if you’re not), I hope this healthy dose of baby belly laughter makes your day!

The Countdown Begins

No matter how you cut it, the countdown to Christmas is on. Whether you start listening to Christmas music on the radio the day after Halloween, or you follow the liturgical calendar, or you just plain wait for December, the time has come! Christmas is on its way, and Brooklyn is celebrating by finally putting the September temperatures behind it.

I love the weeks leading up to Christmas for all the joy, expectation, and hope that they bring. I also love that they are an excuse to watch my favorite Christmas movies!

Elf. Check.

A Charlie Brown Christmas (NOT It’s Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown, which is clearly a sequel).

All I Want for Christmas.

And finally, this YouTube video, which I have admittedly already watched twice.

Happy Christmas Countdown!

Finally! Jacob Day-by-Day

Well, a full month later I’ve finally restructured the settings on the video slideshow I made to celebrate Jacob’s first birthday. Without music because of copyright laws, with only a second on each page to keep it to just over six minutes (!), and without further ado, I give you a year in the life of Jacob. Enjoy!

God bless this wonderful little boy!
